Chris Brown's Aunt Gets Locked In Closet As Robbers Ransack His Home
Three men robbed Chris Brown's home, locking his aunt in a closet while they ransacked his mansion.Around 2 a.m. Wednesday morning, the suspects broke into the singer's Tarzana home on the 19600 block of Citrus Ridge Drive. Brown was out at the time, so his aunt was the only person home. She confronted the men at the front door when she heard a noise outside. All three reportedly wore masks or bandanas covering their faces, and at least one was armed with a handgun. "The suspects ordered the victim into a closet and ransacked the location," the LAPD told Us Magazine.
The thieves took off with cash, electronics, and a cell phone. Brown's aunt was unharmed during the robbery. The singer was hosting a party in Hollywood around the time the home invasion took place. He showed up to the house later that morning and spoke with detectives.
According to TMZ, investigators think the singer's house was targeted since they told Brown's aunt that they knew Brown owned the home. Chris Brown's mom, Joyce Hawkins, told the site she thinks it was his "no good-ass friends." Brown's friends and the bad influence they have on him have reportedly been a point of contention between Hawkins and her son, and hours after the robbery went down she tweeted a word of warning to everyone:
This is the second time in months when Brown has dealt with a home invasion. In May, Brown came home to a 21-year old woman, identified by KTLA as Amira Kodcia Ayeb, who had broken into his house in Agoura Hills. He snapped a photo of her and put it on Instagram.
