Banksy's Sunset Blvd. Billboard Taken Down

It was fun while it lasted. Street artist Banky's cheeky "Living the Dream" Mickey and Minnie Mouse billboard on Sunset Boulevard and Crescent Heights, one of at least four pieces that cropped up around town this week by the Oscar-nominated Brit, has been--not surprisingly--taken down.

From the HuffPo:

YouTube user flashmobsandiego, who posted footage of the sign being taken down, says "Someone, somewhere is gonna make a looooot of money off that piece of 'trash' as they called it. I feel privileged to have had a Banksy mural outside my window for 2 days."

We suspect there will be more chances for Angelenos to see Banksy's handiwork up close as the Academy Awards loom closer.
