Elderly Woman Found Stabbed in Front of Burning Home

After responding to a call that a person had been stabbed last night, Upland police arrived at the scene to find an elderly woman lying on the front yard of her home, with the house in flames.
KTLA reports that 60-year-old Linda Moreno of Pahrump, Nevada, was taken to a local hospital to be treated, but died of her injuries.
The call about the stabbing came in at about 7:30 p.m. Community members were already trying to help by the time authorities arrived, according to witnesses. "The entire community came out. It was just pandemonium," neighbor Sabrina Vargas told ABC News.
At least two suspects with blood on their clothes were seen leaving the scene, but it's not clear what the motivation for the stabbing was, or why the house was on fire.
