Brent Zubek, who is suspected of killing a couple in Chatsworth and putting their bodies in a trash bin has been charged with eight felonies, among them assault with a firearm on a peace officer, reports CBS News. Police began their hunt for Zubek earlier this month, and although officials found him at the time, he was not arrested as he was believed to be armed and dangerous. Zubek was finally taken into custody on August 21, after a standoff with police in which he fired a gun at officers and was then shot in the hip before being arrested.

It's unclear whether Zubek had any motivation in the killings, and murder charges have yet to be filed against him as authorities are still investigating the case.
