Did You Say Moses?
LAist doesn't usually bother with entertainment news, but an interesting tidbit just popped up, courtesy of Out of Focus. It seems that Hollywood's Kodak Theater is going to host the new musical The Ten Commandments this fall. While that is great and all, LAist thought it is worth mentioning because Val Kilmer will be playing the lead—as Moses.
Only in LA. Val Kilmer—Batman himself—will be filling Charlton Heston's shoes as Moses.
According to the Kodak Theater's website, "The Ten Commandments is a story about faith, persistence, triumph and everlasting love. It chronicles the story of Moses leading the Hebrews from captivity out of Egypt, and the passions that would drive the people to sacrifice their children, betray their kinsmen, and ultimately rise up against the greatest imperial power the world had ever known. This spectacular pop musical tells the 3,300-year-old story of Moses' exodus from Egypt into a journey of happiness, life, and rebirth - one of the most moving stories of civilization." Previews begin September 18th.
