A middle school in Diamond Bar was on lockdown yesterday afternoon as authorities searched the area for three men suspected of robbing a nearby home. Police were called to the area by a witness who saw the men break into a house on Chandelle Place. Deputies arrived at the scene as the men were leaving the home. Upon seeing the deputies, the men dropped bags of goods that they were carrying, which were later found to contain items from the home.

As police searched for the suspects, they contacted nearby Lorbeer Middle School and requested an orderly, early dismissal, to ensure that students and faculty were not put in danger should the suspects have attempted to enter the school.

Two of the suspects were later found hiding in an attic of another home in the area. One is still at large. None of the occupants of either home were present when the break-ins occurred.
