The LAPD this afternoon released a composite sketch of the suspect in Saturday evening's purse snatching that left one woman injured after she was shot in the arm. He's described as a Hispanic male between 20 and 35 years of age, has a thin-build and is around 5'8". At the time of the incident, he was wearing a dark blue hooded sweatshirt.

The incident happened on the 2300 block of Glendale Boulevard, near Silverlake Wine, Cha Cha Lounge and other popular neighborhood hangouts. Detectives say the woman and a group of friends were walking to their car when the suspect approached them and asked for the time. As they looked down at their watches, the man tried to grab her purse. Her friends tried to fight him off and in the struggle he pulled a gun and shot it. She suffered a non life-threatening injury to her arm.

Detectives can be reached at (213) 847-4270 during regular hours and at 1-877-LAPD-24-7 during off-hours.
