Quick Facts

  • Today’s weather: Sunny
  • Beaches: 75-80 degrees
  • Mountains: 80s-90s degrees
  • Inland: 92-99 degrees
  • Warnings and advisories: None

It's still warm but at least it's not heat advisory warm. Believe it or not, temperatures will drop a few degrees today, bringing the highs for valleys and inland areas just under 100 degrees.

There's still a slight chance — 10 to 20% — of thunderstorms for the mountains and deserts.

The warmest areas — that includes the Inland Empire and L.A. County valleys — will see temperatures from 95 to 99 degrees today. Coachella Valley will see a high of 102 degrees.

Meanwhile L.A. County beaches will see high temperatures from 75 to 80 degrees, and up to 90 degrees around downtown L.A.

In Orange County the coastal communities will see similar temperatures to L.A. County with highs from 76 to 86 degrees, and up to 91 degrees more inland.

You come to LAist because you want independent reporting and trustworthy local information. Our newsroom doesn’t answer to shareholders looking to turn a profit. Instead, we answer to you and our connected community. We are free to tell the full truth, to hold power to account without fear or favor, and to follow facts wherever they lead. Our only loyalty is to our audiences and our mission: to inform, engage, and strengthen our community.

Right now, LAist has lost $1.7M in annual funding due to Congress clawing back money already approved. The support we receive before year-end will determine how fully our newsroom can continue informing, serving, and strengthening Southern California.
