A Quake With A Preliminary 4.2 Magnitude Struck Near Lytle Creek
An earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 4.2 struck near Lytle Creek in the San Bernardino Mountains on Friday, and was felt across the Southland.
There were no immediate reports of major damage.
LYTLE CREEK: Earthquake reported at 10:55AM northwest of Lytle Creek. 4.1 magnitude per @USGS. No reports of damage or calls for service related to the incident. ^eas

The quake, which struck at around 10:55 a.m., was initially measured at magnitude 4.6, but then was downgraded to 4.4 and then 4.2.
The M4.4 that just occurred in SoCal is near Lytle Creek in Cajon Pass, where the San Andreas and San Jacinto faults come together. In 1970, there was a M5.2 with a M4.0 foreshock in close to the same location
