Photos: Bus Explodes Into Flames On 101 Freeway in Calabasas
A bus caught on fire on the 101 freeway yesterday afternoon in Calabasas.
The fire was reported around 4:15 p.m. Saturday on the southbound side of the freeway just past the Las Virgenes Road exit, according to the Ventura County Star. All traffic was shut down in the southbound direction for about an hour.
Fortunately, the driver and all the passengers aboard were able to make their way off of the bus unscathed.
However, it's not clear what caused the fire. CHP officials told ABC 7 that the bus wasn't involved in a crash beforehand.
