It's going to be a wet week in Southern California as multiple storms are expected to make their way through the area starting Monday night. The larger of the two systems will peak Wednesday into Thursday, with rainfall rates high enough to potentially trigger debris flows in recently burned areas.
Precipitation forecast: Expect 1 to 2 inches in coastal and valley areas, and 2 to 4 inches in the foothills and mountains. Above 6,000 feet, 1 to 2 feet of snow could fall, while up to a foot could fall as low as 4,000 feet, potentially affecting the Grapevine.
Potential hazards: The National Weather Service has yet to issue flash flood warnings, though that could change the closer we get to the storm. Be on the lookout for evacuation notices in recently burned areas, particularly as the storm peaks.
