City Without Angels
The battle for city naming rights wages on as Arte Moreno tries to renegotiate a stadium lease so his team can be called the "Los Angeles Angels." Orange County Angels fans have let their heavenly voices be heard. According to Angels communications VP, the team has received "less than a dozen e-mails" in opposition.
Ouch. Anaheim, you've got to do better than that if you want to retain your identity. Some Angels fans are working in that direction, by creating an internet petition to stop Moreno. But with just 230 signatures so far, Orange County sports enthusiasts sure look apathetic. At least they still have the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim.
