A 43-year-old San Clemente man who has authored a number of children's books has been arrested on charges of child molestation. According to KTLA, Michael Snyder was tracked down by police after an young girl's mother contacted authorities, suspecting him of having molested her daughter. The girl's age was not released, nor were the details of her interactions with Snyder. It also remains unclear how Snyder was able to come into contact with her.

However, Snyder may have used his position as a children's book author to gain access to kids, reports KTLA.

Snyder's blog, Beetle Bug Books, lists the names of four books he has authored, including Lemon Drop Rain, New Pet and Over the Top.
