Charges Filed Against Clown Accused of Raping Child
Charges were filed today against a man accused of sexually assaulting a 12-year-old girl while dressed in a clown costume nine years ago. According to the Daily News, Jose Guadalupe Jimenez is now facing "two counts of lewd acts upon a child, a count of aggravated sexual assault of a child and a count of forcible lewd act on a child."
Jimenez, who performs as a clown under the name "El Tin Larin," is accused of grabbing the girl off the street from behind, then taking her to a parking lot where he raped her in a car. He then took her to a motel where he raped her again. She was able to escape when he went inside to talk to a motel clerk.
DNA from Jimenez was taken from his victim at the time of the rape, but wasn't matched to Jimenez until last year.
