Cafe Demitasse, a gourmet coffee shop with the slogan "Friends don't let friends drink Starbucks," is spreading its wings with plans to open two more outposts in Hollywood and Mid-Wilshire.

Owner Bobby Roshan, who already owns two Demitasses in Little Tokyo and Santa Monica, told the L.A. Times that the Mid-Wilshire location at 6363 Wilshire Blvd. will be open in about two weeks. It'll be located in an area full of office towers that might be desperately in need of some good coffee. After all, it's just steps away from a Jersey Mike's Subs and McDonald's, and the closest Starbucks is almost a mile away (there is a Coffee Bean two blocks away if you feel like making that trek on your lunch break). Demitasse, which is known for using a siphon to brew their coffee (something that looks akin to a bubbling beaker, giving the coffee a tea-like taste), will be bringing that as well to their new location, in addition to sandwiches and salads from Fundamental LA. We hope they'll also have their delicious and creative drink menu, like their viscous lavender hot chocolate and lemongrass lattes.

As for their Hollywood location, Roshan is keeping hush hush about the location so far, but what we do know is it's going to be a large space and will be home to their roastery. They'll also have a bigger food program. That's scheduled to open in November.
