'Bold And The Beautiful' Actress Pinned Under Car On Sawtelle Sidewalk
Bold and the Beautiful actress Linsey Godfrey was struck by a car in a freak accident while walking on a sidewalk in West L.A. Godfrey, 26, was walking in the 11000 block of West Olympic Blvd. in Sawtelle at about 2:25 p.m. yesterday afternoon, KTLA reports. When two cars crashed into each other near her, one veered up onto the sidewalk, hitting the actress and pinning her beneath the car. A bystander pulled Godfrey from the wreckage and rescuers transported her to the a nearby hospital where she underwent surgery.
TMZ, who first reported the crash, initially said that sources told them the actress had broken both legs. A spokeswoman for Godfrey later told PEOPLE that the actress had injured her ankles and is expected to recover.
Producers are now rearranging The Bold and the Beautiful's filming schedule to account for Godfrey's recovery. Godfrey was nominated for a daytime Emmy last year for her role as Caroline Spencer Forrester on the show. Fellow soap opera star Kelly Kruger tweeted a message saying Godfrey was doing well.
