Body Believed to be Missing Hiker Michelle Yu Found
Authorities believe they have found the body of missing hiker Michelle Yu in the Fish Fork area of the Angeles National Forest, according to KTLA. Yu, an experienced hiker, had been missing since Monday. Yu likely made it to the summit during her Mt. Baldy hike, and then fell to her death. Other hikers reported hearing screams in the vicinity on Sunday, but could not identify where they were coming from. Although Yu had food and water with her, she was only prepared for a one-day hike, and was not dressed for the storm that moved into the area.
Rescue hikers are on scene and will retrieve the body today.
