Beauty is Pain: Eight Held After Cops Find $2 Million in Stolen Cosmetics

An unnamed cosmetics company has been the victim of a large-scale robbery, reports KTLA. A cargo container carrying the company's products was on its way to Washington when it was stolen in Utah. Goods were later traced to several locations in Los Angeles, including 9th and Broadway in downtown, Whittier Boulevard in East LA, Pacific Boulevard in Huntington Park and East Washington Boulevard in Commerce.Originally, $4 million worth of products were stolen. So far, only half of that has been recovered, and the rest is still at large. KTLA reports that no arrests have yet been made, although eight employees at a South Gate facility where some of the goods were discovered are being detained.
