Beastie Boys Tickets on Sale Tomorrow, Contest Today

Dude, the Beasties tickets go on sale tomorrow, and to celebrate we are having a contest today. Which rhymes with Horray!
First the good news for all. The Beastie Boys will be at the Greek on August 20 playing those sweet jams from their new cd The Mix-Up that came out yesterday, a collection of instrumental jazzy funky tunes that harken back to The In Sound From Way Out!.
Pre-sale happens tomorrow at 10am, the password is MIXUP.
Because the Beasties are one of our favorite bands ever, we will be giving away a Beastie Boys prize pack for one lucky winner. Just register to comment and then leave your favorite Beasties rhyme in the comments. The whole song is not necessary, just your favorite lines.
The winner will receive the following:
1 copy of "The Mix-Up" CD
1 copy of "The In Sound From Way Out!" CD
1 copy of "The Sounds of Science" CD
1 "The Mix-Up" mobile (as in a thing you hang from the ceiling, not a thing you use as a phone)
1 "The Mix-Up" sticker
Unregistered commentors (guests) will not be considered. It will be a random pick for the winner, so don't be afraid that your favorite rhyme wont be ours. We just wanna see what you love about the Beasties.
We will stop taking entries as of July 3, so make it happen people!
Also if you want to listen to the new album, Spinner is streaming The Mix-Up all week. So check check check it out.

As Editor-in-Chief of our newsroom, I’m extremely proud of the work our top-notch journalists are doing here at LAist. We’re doing more hard-hitting watchdog journalism than ever before — powerful reporting on the economy, elections, climate and the homelessness crisis that is making a difference in your lives. At the same time, it’s never been more difficult to maintain a paywall-free, independent news source that informs, inspires, and engages everyone.
Simply put, we cannot do this essential work without your help. Federal funding for public media has been clawed back by Congress and that means LAist has lost $3.4 million in federal funding over the next two years. So we’re asking for your help. LAist has been there for you and we’re asking you to be here for us.
We rely on donations from readers like you to stay independent, which keeps our nonprofit newsroom strong and accountable to you.
No matter where you stand on the political spectrum, press freedom is at the core of keeping our nation free and fair. And as the landscape of free press changes, LAist will remain a voice you know and trust, but the amount of reader support we receive will help determine how strong of a newsroom we are going forward to cover the important news from our community.
Please take action today to support your trusted source for local news with a donation that makes sense for your budget.
Thank you for your generous support and believing in independent news.
