AIDS Walk Sunday: Expect Crowds, Street Closures, And Richard Simmons

The 29th AIDS Walk is talking place this Sunday in West Hollywood and Los Angeles, which means the usual crowds, street closures and a special treat (or horror): An opening warmup from exercise guru Richard Simmons.
Organizers expect 25,000 people to take part in this year's 6.2-mile AIDS Walk Los Angeles, the LA Times reports. That should raise nearly $3 million for AIDS Project Los Angeles, in line with last year's fundraising efforts.
The Simmons aerobic warmup will take place at 9 a.m. on Sunday. Your hosts are Wayne Brady and Drew Carey. and Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti and West Hollywood Mayor Abbe Land are also scheduled to speak.
The walk begins at West Hollywood Park, at San Vicente Boulevard between Santa Monica Boulevard and Melrose Avenue. It's not too late to sign up online or at West Hollywood Park on Sunday morning.
