At Tonight's Downtown Art Walk: Wizard of Oz, iPhone Photo Exhibit
It's the second Thursday of the month, so that means Downtown Art Walk night. And although its June gloom, there's nothing better than walking the streets with tons of other art revelers between getting good food and drinks.
Among the many shows, of note for film buffs is the Ruby Slipper collection and other Oz inspired art being shown at FIDM for the 70th anniversary of the Wizard of Oz. Over at the Gas Company Lofts, photographer Branimir Kvartuc, who also shares amazing surf photos with LAist when the waves are just right, is having an exhibit showing off iPhone photos from exclusive and private events. Ed Fuentes at blogdowntown rounds up these two plus other picks and the event's website has a map of the 40 or so galleries.
