In the midst of a sexual abuse scandal that has shut down a South Los Angeles elementary school, authorities have found 200 more photos of children in bondage situations allegedly taken by former Miramonte teacher Mark Berndt.

City News Service reports that the photos, like the 400 that police have already uncovered, show young children blindfolded and with duct tape over their mouths. In some, children have a cockroach on their faces.

The new pictures were found on a computer at a South Bay CVS photo processing center. In them are at least 25 children who haven't yet been identified, and were not seen in the original batch of pictures.

Berndt was arrested last week, and is charged with 23 felony counts of lewd acts with a child. He's being held in lieu of $23 million bail. Since his arrest, a second Miramonte teacher was arrested for molesting a child, and a third was implicated in aiding and abetting Berndt. LAUSD has since decided to remove all staff from the school, and replace them as of tomorrow.
