A 17-year-old boy was fatally shot in Compton on Monday night, reports City News Service.

The shooting took place at about 10:40 p.m. Jesus Morales was standing on the 300 block of West Magnolia Street when he was gunned down, and died yesterday at a local hospital. Authorities believe that the shooting was gang-related; the area has recently seen an increase in gang-related violence.
