100-Poud Mountain Lion Trapped in OC Wilderness Park

Officials have trapped a 100-pound male mountain lion in the Trabuco Canyon area of Orange County, reports City News Service.
The lion had been spotted a few times over the past month. Fish and Game officials said its unusual to get calls about an animal in the wilderness and show up and have the animal be in the same spot where it was reported as being, but that's what happened this time.
The park where the lion was seen was closed off to the public while authorities were working on cornering him. It has reopened, but the trail where the lion was trapped remains closed in case the two-year-old creature was traveling with his mother, and she's around somewhere too.
