One person was killed and two others injured when a truck rolled over following a multicar crash on the 110 Freeway on Saturday night. Northbound lanes between Manchester Avenue and the 105 were closed for an investigation and cleanup. The freeway has now been reopened.
What we know: The multi-car crash was reported at 10:55 p.m. on Saturday night, which led a tanker truck to flip on its side. The truck was carrying an estimated 8,000 gallons of aviation fuel, and fire officials said that between 500 and 1,000 gallons were spilled onto the road.
One person was pronounced dead at the scene. The two individuals hurt in the crash suffered minor injuries. According to fire officials, the driver of the tanker truck was taken to the hospital by a private vehicle and had no contact with the L.A. Fire Department.
Parts of the northbound 110 have been closed due to a fatal gas tanker crash and spill.
