Metrolink will close down all train service for four days in December.

    Topline:

Attention all Metrolink riders — all Metrolink trains including Arrow will be out of service for four days starting Dec. 26.

About the closures: All Metrolink Trains and the Arrow line in the Inland Empire will be closed from Tuesday, Dec. 26 through Friday, Dec. 29. Train service will resume on Saturday Dec. 30. Metrolink is advising riders to seek local transit systems for options but as the closure dates get nearer, Metrolink will provide updates to local transit customers.
All L.A Metro buses, subway and rail operations will be in service during that time.

Why now: The transit system is closing down the rail network to clean, repair and upgrade to a new signal system. Metrolink is also making upgrades to prepare for the upcoming 2028 Summer Olympics, Paralympics and 2026 World Cup.
