A building with the words: America Reproductive has considerable damage on one side.
Debris is seen outside a damaged American Reproductive Centers fertility clinic after a bomb blast near the building in Palm Springs on Saturday, May 17.

    Topline:

Authorities have arrested a man who allegedly aided the May 17 bombing of a Palm Springs fertility clinic.

Who was arrested? The FBI says it’s charging Daniel Park with providing material support to Guy Bartkus, the 25-year-old who died after setting off a car bomb outside an American Reproductive Centers fertility clinic. That attack injured four people.

What are the charges: According to Bilal Essayli, the U.S. Attorney for the Central District of California, Park paid for a series of ammonium nitrate deliveries to Bartkus in the days ahead of the attack. The compound can be used for homemade bombs. Essayli also said the FBI investigation found Park and Bartkus spent time together running experiments in Bartkus’ garage.

Ideological beliefs: Akil Davis,  assistant director of the FBI's Los Angeles field office, said at a news conference Wednesday that the men share anti-natalist beliefs. “We believe that Park had knowledge of how to create an anfo bomb — ammonia, nitrate fuel, oil bomb — [and] Park's social media posts indicate that he was attempting to recruit others of like-minded ideology and discuss these things on internet forums,” Davis said.

Is there more? Davis said the investigation remains ongoing, and did not rule out that other people could be involved.
