    It's still warm but at least it's not heat advisory warm. Believe it or not, temperatures will drop a few degrees today, bringing the highs for valleys and inland areas just under 100 degrees.

    There's still a slight chance — 10 to 20% — of thunderstorms for the mountains and deserts.

    The warmest areas — that includes the Inland Empire and L.A. County valleys — will see temperatures from 95 to 99 degrees today. Coachella Valley will see a high of 102 degrees.

    Meanwhile L.A. County beaches will see high temperatures from 75 to 80 degrees, and up to 90 degrees around downtown L.A.

    In Orange County the coastal communities will see similar temperatures to L.A. County with highs from 76 to 86 degrees, and up to 91 degrees more inland.
