        Southern California beaches will see high surf and hazardous conditions as the region experiences a slight cooldown.

        Let's start with the warmest areas today: L.A. County valleys and the Inland Empire will see highs of up to 83 degrees.

        In Coachella Valley, daytime highs could reach 94 degrees.

        Along the coast, temperatures will be cooler, with highs in the low to mid 70s. Orange County will also see highs mostly in the mid 70s.

        Meanwhile, the National Weather Service is warning swimmers and surfers of hazardous conditions at L.A. County and Orange County beaches.

        L.A. County will see 3 to 6 foot breaking waves mostly on south-facing beaches. In Malibu, waves could reach up to 8 feet until Wednesday afternoon.

        Orange County beaches will see similar conditions through Tuesday evening.
