Tim Burton And Michael Keaton In Talks For 'Beetlejuice' Sequel
"Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice!" If you say his name three times, he might just appear... in the Beetlejuice sequel, that is! Multiple sources told The Wrap that Tim Burton might just be revisiting his directorial role for the film and is currently in discussions with Warner Bros.
Beetlejuice was the shaggy-haired ghoul from the underworld, and the only one who could ever rock a black-and-white striped two-piece suit (more so than Robin Thicke's attempt during his "Blurred Lines" performance at this year's MTV Video Music Awards). Michael Keaton is also pegged to reprise his role as Beetlejuice; however, he is still in talks as well.
The redux of the beloved comedy horror from 1988 will be produced by Seth Grahame-Smith and David Katzenberg of KatzSmith Productions, and Grahame-Smith (the screenwriter of Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter) wrote the screenplay, according to The Wrap.
The Hollywood Reporter points out that it may take some time before Beetlejuice 2 will be filmed as Burton already has other projects lined up, including Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children to be released on July 15, 2014.
