Cal State Fullerton Says No More Butts!

CSU Fullerton approved a no-smoking policy yesterday that makes it the first Cal State campus to go completely smoke free.
The new policy forbids smoking anywhere on campus grounds, including parkings lots (and in vehicles), and will go into effect August 1, 2013.
The decision was approved unanimously in February by members of the university’s Academic Senate, and the policy was signed yesterday by Interim President Willie J. Hagan. The decision also includes a ban on the sale or distribution of smoke-generating tobacco products.
“I expected to receive negative comments about the action of this new policy, but have been surprised,” Hagan said in a statement.
He says that both students and faculty members have approached him to express their support and appreciation.
