Six Shot When Gunman Opens Fire at Banquet Hall in Hollywood
Six people were shot early this morning when someone opened fire on the dance floor at a private event at a Hollywood banquet hall.
The shooting happened at a venue called Vatican Banquet on Sunset Boulevard just before 2am this morning, police told City News Service. Four men and two women were shot, though none of their injuries were believed to be life-threatening.
"There was a dispute at a private event, and someone pulled out a handgun and started shooting,'' LAPD Sgt. Tim Jenneman of the Hollywood Station told CNS. "Four males and two females received non-life-threatening wounds.''
There are very few details about the shooting. No arrests were announced, no motive has been given and authorities said they were reviewing footage from the event to identify the gunman.
