Giovanni Ramirez Cleared in Bryan Stow Case as Two New Suspects Are Arrested
Giovanni Ramirez, who has been held since May in connection with the beating of Giants fan Bryan Stow at the Dodgers opening game, has been exonerated, and two new suspects have been arrested, reports L.A. Now.
Ramirez was arrested primarily based on eyewitnesses identifying him, however since the time of his arrest authorities have had a hard time building a case against him. No formal charges were ever pressed.
Until today, police and city officials have expressed their conviction that Ramirez was the right suspect, while Ramirez and his attorney have maintained his innocence. Ramirez is currently serving time for a parole violation, unrelated to the Stow case.
It's not clear yet how the two new suspects were found or arrested.
