Santa Monica Food Truck Lot Is Back, and On a Roll

Things didn't go so well the first time around for the Santa Monica Food Truck Lot, but the weekly Tuesday evening operation is back and on a roll again since October, now in the parking lot of the California Heritage Museum. Last week, says the Santa Monica Daily Press, of the 7 trucks present, "the clear winner of the night was the Lobstatruck [sic]." You'll have to wait for another Tuesday to try their Lobster rolls (get the butter one) on Main Street; tomorrow, the trucks signed up are: FrySmith, Global Soul, Haute2Go, Kabob N Roll, Lake Street Creamery, Ludo Truck, Meso Hungry, and No Tomatoes. Heard of all of those before? Yeah, us either--some new ones are on the road! If you're still into scoping out new trucks and are in SaMo, sounds like some fresh meat (or veg). Plus, suggests the SMDP, it's a perfect chance to grab at drink at The Victorian's Basement Tavern, in their "low-key, 'speakeasy' atmosphere."
