LAst Laugh: This Week in Comedy

It's almost Christmas time, which means any comedy show worth its salt has started pushing in a more charitable direction, and this week is no exception. Comicthon kicks off tonight at the Laugh Factory, with proceeds benefitting the Children's Hospital of LA, while Room 101 is helping fight autism. Know of any other upcoming benefit shows? MONDAY 12/6
Standing on Ceremony, 8p Largo. A night of funny, insightful plays about gay marriage. Money raised is going to support the American Foundation for Equal Rights. Kathy Najimy, Bruce Vilanch, Neil LaBute and a number of others offer their services.
Comicthon, 8p Laugh Factory. While attempting to break the world record for longest stand up comedy show, the Laugh Factory will be accepting toy donations instead of tickets for the Children’s Hospital of LA. It’s going 24/7 for a few days, but expect to se Tim Allen, Dane Cook, Kevin Nealon, Bob Saget, Sarah Silverman and more.

Room 101 Charity Show, 8p The Complex - Flight Theater. Room 101 is benefitting autism research this week, and they’re stacked with talent as a result. Hip Hop Penguin, Shitty Jobs, The Smokes - and a KEG!
THURSDAY 12/9
Funatical, 8p The Comedy Store. Funatical is a new stand up touring show, featuring comics that span the cultural gamut, eventually culminating in DC in March.

Persona!, 8:30p Improv Comedy Lab. Persona! promises to be a really funny new character-based show, and with an opening line up that includes Jason Nash, Josh Fadem, Eddie Pepitone and more, success is virtually guaranteed.

Andy Daly, 10p Hollywood Improv. Andy Daly is one of the funniest people in Los Angeles. His characters are absolutely game-changing.
