Silver Lake's 'Walking Man' Found Dead in Hot Tub
Marc Abrams, known as Silver Lake's beloved "Walking Man" has died, according to NBC. He was 58.
The LAFD were called to the scene of what was first described as a "near drowning" at 2452 N Moreno Drive just after 6 this evening. There they found a man in a hot tub "beyond medical help and pronounced dead on scene," according to an email alert.
The Los Angeles County Coroner identified the man as Marc Abrams. Abrams has walked, rain or shine, through his neighborhood, shirtless, since the 1980s. He was so iconic in the area that his likeness was painted on a mural in tribute. An autopsy is scheduled for Thursday.
