LaBonge Calls Emergency Meeting About Silver Lake & Surrounding Area Crime

In reaction to an uptick in crime in the area, including a recent burglary at his own home, Councilman Tom LaBonge is hosting a community meeting tomorrow evening, his office announced tonight.
"In response to the recent spate of burglaries and other crimes in the Silver Lake/Franklin Hills/Los Feliz area, Councilmember Tom LaBonge is holding an emergency community meeting tomorrow night to discuss public safety issues," a notice read. "The meeting will address concerns about recent crimes in the Silver Lake, Los Feliz, Franklin Hills and East Hollywood area. The public is encouraged to attend."
LAPD Northeast Division Capt. William Murphy, detectives and Senior Lead Officers will appear at the meeting. Details can be found below:
