For the second consecutive season, the Dodgers fall to the Phillies in the NLCS in five games. All that remains of a season filled with promise and optimism is a pool of disappointment.

What comes after disappointment? Our pitching staff's performance, and really the entire team's performance overall was fucking pitiful. Too many tired guys throwing too many pitches in too many games.

Hopefully next season we'll exercise a little moderation with our bullpen and keep our guys fresh.

Had tickets to Friday's game too. I guess I'm glad we didn't lose at home

I wish I could be a little hopeful, but with the McCourt's divorce it's not looking good.

Yeah. You never know. I am trying to be hopeful for next year and at the same time, happy for us that we did as well as we did.

The good news is, USC is coming together and the Lakers are about to hoodilize the NBA.

I have no problem losing to a better team, I just thought we should have been the better team. Pitching will need to improve for us next year or we will suffer the same from the Phillies for a third year in a row.

No more Mary Hart!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

By the way, who looked more catatonic last night: Tommy Lasorda or Joe Torre?

Next season they should get Rick Honeycutt a bluetooth since he spends so much time on the phone to the bullpen.

Good luck next season, I see good things in the future. I mean what could possibly go wrong with a team built around a 21-year old head case pitcher, a 40 (45?, 50?) year old choke artist who can't be bothered to even jog out of the batter's box or to a ball in the corner, and a manager who's neck is sore from watching the game pass him by.

2 words Hudson and Pierre. These guys were perfect Philly killers and they rode the pine. We needed guys that can get on base and run the bases. We needed lead-off bunts. Small ball. Where was the strategy? What was the strategy? Did Torre honestly believe that no strategy baseball can get you to the World Series?

What's Mini Manny gonna do next season when Ramirez is gone?
That'll free up $24mil. Let's get a young slugger and another ace or a tram from Sunset up Dodger Way.

Overall, great season, I had a blast watching this team. Next year!

Well, good luck to the Phils. As long as someone beats the Yankees, I'm happy.

The Dodgers need to ditch Manny. Pierre was a much better player this season. The pitching was terrific until the NLCS, and then it reverted to being amateur and awful. If they keep the core - Either, Kemp, Loney, Martin - there is the core of a good team. But these guys need to show up for work when we hit the playoffs.

There's always next year!
