TMZ Catches Maria Shriver Driving with Cellphone 3 Times, Schwarzenegger to take 'Swift Action'

Her husband may have signed the no driving while holding a cell phone law, but the message apparently hasn't hit home for California's First Lady Maria Shriver.

TMZ earlier today posted two photos--one from this Summer and another from this weekend--of Shriver on a cell phone while driving. In response, Schwarzenegger this afternoon tweeted to TMZ's Harvey Levin: "Thanks for bringing her violations to my attention. There's going to be swift action."

But soon after his tweet, Shriver was once again jabbing on the cell phone while driving in Brentwood. Of course, TMZ posted it, along with a video, online: "while Maria was illegally yappin' away (the third time she's been photographed doin' it) she saw our cameraman catching the illegal activity on tape -- and that's when she dropped the phone in an attempt to cover it up!"

you'd think she'd at least try and hide it a little better, like maybe try switching hands so its not directly in the window, and stick it under her hair so you cant tell if she's just messing with her hair or talking on the phone.. hellooooo?

I have used my cell phone for years. The other day I received a ticket for placing the cell phone next to my ear. I had a wireless device , but it wasn't working so I tried to listen to the headset. Busted, no excuse. 140 dollar ticket. I guess if you are a member of the elite, or the governor's wife things are better. It's all about the money.Do you really believe that Arnie's wife will ever receive a ticket, because if you do I have some I have some beach front land I will sell you cheap.

I BET ARNOLD DIDN'T GIVE HIS WIFE A CITATION. HE PROBABLY GAVE HER A BIG KISS.

PEOPLE LIKE THEM ARE ABOVE THE LAW.

No surprise there...

I've actually toyed with the idea of creating a running blog of all the offenders I see on a daily basis and post the time, plate and location..but my wife is afraid I might piss off too many people by doing that. LOL

i think that's a great idea! i can't tell you how many times i still come across someone driving like a complete moron because they have their phone plastered to their ear. i've wanted to take pictures, but well...i'm usually driving at the time.

I used to toy with the idea of setting up a twitter account, listing crappy drivers (like when people cut me off). But then I'd also have to tweet in the car, which would be breaking the law...

I thought about that and the ensuing conflict as well, so I too eliminated that option.

Right now I just rely on my memory, which I am lucky enough to still have in good order. LOL

Although given the support for the idea, I might actually do it and have to resort to pen and paper while driving.

There's really no excuse that his "swift action" is anything but making sure she gets a citation.

Law? You would think it was a Gov't sponsored suggestion considering the sheer volume of people I see ignoring it.

Or the all new "Walkee Talkee" pose of holding the phone near your mouth but not "at your ear".

Seriously.

I love how even in the pouring rain, when visibility and handling are crap, people still have to hold a phone conversation while driving.

And for those of you thinking of starting a "cell phone offender" website, I'm with you. Also check out http://www.platewire.com/

Huh? Doesn't she have a fancy bluetooth enabled thingumee in her fancy SUV?

Hahahahahaaaaaa!!

must be the TAX cuts!!
