GRAMMY Museum Prepares Loud Opening for Saturday

The new GRAMMY Museum, set to open on Saturday in downtown's $ 2.5 billion LA Live complex, is not necessarily about history, even though you'll find those elements. Rather, it looks at the now and the creative process of music. Think along the lines of engagement and interactivity.

Los Angeles is very fortunate to have this museum. "AEG, developer of L.A. Live, played a major role in making the museum happen. The Recording Academy, which puts on the GRAMMY Awards, was considering New Orleans and Memphis as possible sites, but not Los Angeles," explains Eric Richardson of blogdowntown who thoroughly previewed the museum this morning. "That changed when AEG announced L.A. Live"

The museum joins the nearby Los Angeles Sports Museum that opened Friday along with other LA Live attractions that recently opened such as the ESPN Live, Lucky Strikes Bowling and Club NOKIA.
