'Well, I Guess You'd Better Prepare for a Strike'

SAG contract deadlines nearsThat was what the AMPTP reportedly said when negotiations first began with the SAG. But that's just one option that SAG says will not happen. The Hollywood reporter breaks down how it could play out if no deal is reached by tonight's deadline: "They could negotiate a contract extension, which could be by day, week or month, and keep talking; the studios could lock out the actors; or SAG could seek a strike-authorization vote from its membership, which will be at least a two-week process as the negotiating committee must vote on whether to bring a strike."

Tthe actor's should get a pay cut since the majority of them are either awful actors or in awful movies & sometimes both.
Stop being greedy you make more money than anyone.

Not true, field. Yes, actors like Julia Roberts make millions, but that's not representative of the acting world. Many actors are lucky to even scrape by supporting themselves with various acting jobs (and most do not.)

Also people in creative fields (acting, writing, music, artists, etc.) are not greedy-- they deserve to be compensated for their work.

And it's the fuckin' studios that make the films awful, thank you very much. It's what happens when you hand the reigns over to lawyers and accountants.

That said, I wouldn't support a strike in this economy even if the studios were demanding the first born of every actor so they could sell them on the east asian black market. But I suppose the bitches at the studios know that. Fuck.
