dog.jpgPhoto by C-Monster via the LAist Featured Photos pool on Flickr

  • Tomorrow is take your dog to work day! Going to be a blast! Don't forget his carrier bag, ear drops, leash, greenies, shoes, sweater, and the bottles of Fiji for the little guy. Think twice before doing this though, when your co-workers flake, your collie might feel a little let-down by not being allowed to leave the area under your desk.
  • Although some feel that red light camera's are an invasion of privacy, and most of us feel that they're just an easy way for "the man" to generate income, turns out, they are decreasing the amount of major traffic accidents. The number of fender-benders has increased but this is due to people slamming on brakes to avoid the red light ticket. That'll learn 'em!
  • Obama's sister, Maya Soetoro-Ng, will be campaigning on his behalf this Saturday at a lunch honoring his volunteers at Hecho en Mexico. The free event begins at 12:30 pm and is open to the public.
  • While President Bush's hot-button (finally!) is the price of gasoline, he calls to the ear of the coasts with the possibility of offshore drilling. But rest assured California, Schwarzenegger shot this idea down and wants to preserve California's coastline.
  • Older women on the Westside are being targeted by a prowler who is entering homes through unlocked doors and windows. Five such crimes have been reported so far, and luckily there's been no injuries.
  • The document declaring the foundation of Mission San Juan Capistrano was sold for $310,000 to an anonymous bidder at the Bonhams and Butterfield auction house. Members of the mission board bid up to $300,000, but couldn't justify going above that.
  • Love him or leave him, whatever your thoughts are on American Apparel's controversial head honcho, Dov Charney, you can't argue that it's pretty awesome that he provides 4,000 steady jobs in Downtown. Angelenic takes a closer look in their exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of the Factory/HQ.
  • A paralyzed man, whose house was ransacked by Police in October 2007 and all of his medicinal marijuana confiscated, is in court fighting for his medicine. The paralyzed man's only solace came from using marijuana after Valium, Baclofen, and Gabapentin showed no signs of help. When will rightful medicinal marijuana users stop being targeted and harassed by authorities?
  • How are you doing during this economic downturn? LA metblogs takes a look into the percentage of people around our city who are living in poverty and presents a possible solution.

That dog rules my world.

i like dogs, but dont take them to work. It's really annoying

I'd take bring your dog to work day over bring your annoying yelling/pooping/office equipment breaking bastard of a kid any day!

:)

At CalArts, we had the option to bring dogs to classes all day long as long as they were not disruptive.
