LAst Night's Action: Suck

The Actor Celebrates

Boston Celtics defeat LA Lakers 97-91. Objectively speaking, the Lakers are pathetic and pitiful. The 21-point lead they had at the end of the first quarter was the largest in NBA Finals history. They led by 20 points in the third quarter. Then they choked like they were sucking on a 13" dick. In the third quarter they took everything good they did in the first half and flushed it down the toilet. To put it historically, it's the largest second-half deficit ever overcome in the Finals. I predicted the trophy was going to be hoisted this Sunday, but it looks like I predicted the wrong team.

San Diego Padres defeat LA Dodgers 9-0. The Dodgers are very lucky that everyone in LA is paying attention to the Lakers. Maybe no one would notice that the Dodgers suck harder than I did a couple of weekends ago. Coming off of a complete game shutout of the Chicago Cubs Friday night Dodger's starter Hiroki Kuroda gave up five runs in the first inning, and the Dodgers offense did nothing to help him out. Well they did manage five hits. That's something perhaps. Well no.

everytime I watch the game they lose. fuck. i'm not watching any more games

it was actually a 24 point lead! i am so disappointed!

As Nelson Muntz would say, Ha Ha!

That's horseshit Bramlett. I'm disappointed and disgusted by this game too, but these guys gave us a lot of reasons to be proud of them this year.

WHAT THE FUCK, GOD DAMNIT, SON OF A BITCH, FUCK!

I'm going to jump off the Hollywood sign. That was one of the most painful losses in Laker History.

Then they choked like they were sucking on a 13" dick.

brilliance.

damn it. we so don't deserve to win this fucker.

Such a bummer.

Oh, sports.

Ive watched a lot of sports... A lot of LA sports specifically. I cannot remember when I have felt this bad after a loss ever. I really cant. Its the worse thing I have ever witnessed. Seriously, is there anyone out there that can compare this loss to to something?

Its so bad my grammar/spelling has gone out the window...

Ugh.

The only good thing from this loss?

No more of those fucking Laker Flags all over the place. Its like a "Im a Fucking Fake Fan" flag.

manny, as a Boston sports fan I have experienced that feeling you described many times before. Bitter losses are tough to swallow but victories are made sweeter in light of these losses. The red sox world series win in 2004 felt that much better following Aaron Boone's home run in 2003 (not to mention 86 years without a title). The patriots loss in the superbowl this year was the same way. Pulled out from under us in the 4th quarter. But they're my team and I will remain standing by my teams 'til the day I die. Its easy to wear your teams jersey when your winning but it takes balls to wear it the day after you lose it all. Should the lakers lose I challenge you to wear your lakers colors the next day. You'll be proud you did. The lakers are the lakers as much as I hate them. you guys have a wealthy owner, a historic franchise, and a nice city that people want to play in. You guys will be back in the finals in the not too distant future and if you win you'll look back to 2008 and remember how you felt and you'll remember that while everyone was jumping ship and swimming to shore you remained and Its a damn good feeling to be able to say that.

Man, that was the stupidest game I've ever seen. And I'm a UCLA football fan.

Cmurr1105 has it exactly right. #1 We're not done yet. #2 Even if we lose this series, this has been a great ride. This was a team that was supposed to win 40 games this year. If we don't win, this will be my favorite non-championship Lakers team in the 23 years I've been a fan. A bad ending doesn't invalidate this season.

why does everyone bitch about bandwagon fans...it's in every city...including boston. i don't remember too many people sticking around for that 18 game losing streak...except the guys yelling MVP in the garden.

Hey, at least at the end of the day, we still live in L.A., where the sun's always shinin'...
