Do you love adorable chick singers from Scandinavian countries who look like a puffin? I sure do (thanks to LAist staffer Osmany Rodriguez for turning me on and tuning me in). Check out this gorgeous and dead-sexy tune called "Little Bit" from Lykke Li (real name Li Lykke Timotej Zachrisson), a pop-folk-dance artist from Sweden. You can find it on her new album Youth Novels.
She'll be playing the El Rey in May with El Perro Del Mar and special guest Anna Ternheim. We're definitely calling this girl the next Feist....

This just makes me really sad cuz I start to think about how Virgin Megastore would have had this chicks cd on its listening wall before they closed its doors. I might have never heard of this artist if it wasnt for Virgin or Laist. Virgin catered to artists like this and Feist and brought attention to them to L.A. All Amoeba records does is try to sell you shitty underground hiphop and really shitty "Amoeba Picks." Have you ever bought one of the cd's that Amoeba recomends?> Fucking god awful dretch!
