Developing: Police Shoot Suspect at NoHo AutoZone*
*UPDATE, Weds. 3/5, 10:00 a.m.: The suspect who was shot is believed to be the North Hollywood-area's "Skeleton Bandit." He died in hospital from his injuries after being removed from the scene.
*UPDATE, 11:24 p.m.: The alleged robber who was shot by the U.S. Marshal is now at the hospital in critical condition and the suspected accomplice is still at large according to Officer April Harding of the LAPD. So how was it that a U.S. Marshal was involved in shooting the suspect? Two on duty Marshals were on dignitary protection for the Chief of Police from Belize, who was in town for the recent gang summit. They stopped at the AutoZone to picks up some items and just happened upon the alleged robber who was carrying a butcher knife and a large sum of money.
At 5:45 p.m. tonight at the AutoZone near Vineland and Magnolia in North Hollywood (officially the within the NoHo Arts District boundaries), a U.S. Marshal walked into a robbery in progress where an officer involved shooting occurred. A butcher knife was also somehow involved in the incident according to Officer Hardy of the LAPD. She also said an accomplice was still at large and a perimeter had been set up.
Around 7:15 p.m., one witness to the scene e-mailed in saying that a LAPD airship blasted "put your weapon down and come out with your hands up" over its megaphone. No confirmation if this was the second suspect.

I don't think they have the suspect in their sites. They're back to manhunt mode.
I just drove by there 20 minutes ago and was wondering what was going on. Northbound Vineland is shut down and the side streets all have cops blocking them off.
That sucked. And not a blip on the news. Would it kill the LAPD to put shit on their "blog"?
I live around the corner. There were five helicopters hovering over the scene as the sun went down. The LAPD chopper was circling around for hours with the megaphone spurting out orders. The other four choppers were news, and there were at least three news vans there.
