Extra, Extra: Feigned Law and the Second Degree

I just don't know to say about this photo

  • Morning rush hour is from 5 a.m. to noon. Evening rush hour is from noon to 7 p.m. Friday's rush hour starts Thursday morning. That and more unwritten LA rules of the road as told by Sue Doyle at the Daily News.
  • Locally based and world-renown Architect Frank Gehry receives some moldy and cracked press today on NPR.
  • Who doesn't like cartoons? "Most animated shows are covered by a different union from the Writers Guild and are unaffected by the WGA strike. In addition, the WGA has withdrawn objections to its members working in animation."
  • Can David Copperfield make a $2.2 million lawsuit over canceled shows and a rape accusation disappear in a Los Angeles County courthouse?
  • Who knew you can be charged with second-degree commercial burglary? And combine that with attempted murder, aggravated mayhem, first-degree residential robbery and first-degree burglary like a 19-year-old alleged gang member did last Sunday in North Hollywood and you're facing life in prison.
  • Check it out: the LA Times did some design tweaking on their website. The masthead actually looks respectable now.
  • If you don't know how to pretend to be a cop, you shouldn't go out in public and do just that and rob people in plain daylight. Eventually, the real cops will see you and chuckle. Then they will arrest you just like they did with a Reseda man and woman who have robbed more than 20 people in the last few months by pretending to be Sheriff Deputies.
  • LAist Sports Editor Adam Rose chats with USC Trojans football coach Pete Carroll for the LA Times.
