Finding a parking spot in LA is like looking for a glass of water in the desert, it's a pain in the ass to find one and once you do, it's never large enough. Thankfully the curators of the Parking Lot Art Show have this covered.

The Parking Lot Art Show is a new art show happening at the Sunset Junction, and is presented in eight moving trucks, featuring the works of photographers, painters, and designers. The show was put together by two couples, Eric and Christa Pfleeger, and Christine and Gareth Kantner. Eric is an art director turned stay-at-home dad, Christa is an advertising photographer, Christine is a producer and Gareth who is the owner of Cafe' Stella.

The show will be taking place at the Sunset Junction, in the parking lot behind Cafe' Stella, from 5-11pm.

LAist sat down with Eric to talk more about the people involved and the details of the show.

First off, tell us a little about yourselves and how you all met.

Eric: I studied Studio Art at Humboldt State before going to Art Center College of Design to study Advertising. That's where I met my wife, Christa who is now an advertising photographer. I lived and worked in New York for 7 years after school and re-united with Christa there. We are now living in Pasadena, Christa shoots for clients like Mini Cooper, Pac Sun, Apple, and Rip Curl. I stopped with the agency thing and became a stay-at-home dad. Our partners in this, Christine and Gareth Kantner own cafe Stella and Christine is a producer as well. That's how we originally met them - Christine was working on a job with Christa and she was super cool.

What was the inspiration or motivation behind the show?

Eric: Christa has had this idea of artists showing in trucks, originally U-Hauls, since she was at Art Center. Christine and Gareth have been wanting to do a gallery and the two worlds collided in their parking lot. They both had awesome attitudes right away. Gareth is giving up his busiest night and getting a liquor license so we can serve wine out there and Christine got us all the trucks donated.

What artists are going to be in the show?

Eric: We’re thrilled to have Brigitte Sire, Anna Wolf, Michael Perry, Laurie Wilson, Kristen botshekan, Mearone, Jonathan Wellerstein, 20mg, and Diego Cardosa.

Do you have any future plans for another art show?

Eric: For sure. This has been so much fun and such a great learning experience that we have to do more. It's just great getting all these talented people together and introducing them to each other and showing their work to people. I'm hoping to do more of these art shows and maybe run a gallery eventually.
