UCLA DEFEATS USC!!!

This story is free to read because readers choose to support LAist. If you find value in independent local reporting, make a donation to power our newsroom today.

Today marks the greatest upset in recent NCAAF history. UCLA climbed atop 7 years of defeat to burn USC 13-9. The Victory Bell has been pried from the cold dead hands of the Trojan offense and returned to its rightful home: Westwood.

What was said to be impossible has happened. A lot of people are going to have to make good on ridiculous bets tomorrow morning.

Patrick Cowan: you showed that you can run when it counts. Bruin defense: you proved all the naysayers wrong.

And Karl Dorrell...

Despite the doubts of bitchy fans, I always believed and trusted in you. We don't need a championship, we don't even need a good season. All we needed was what you gave us tonight, and for that you will be in our hearts forever.

LAist is on its way to the victory celebrations, so stay tuned tomorrow!
