Say It Ain't So, Kwame

Not to put a damper on things in Laker-Land (even though this LAist contributor has been setting up shop in Clipper-Ville the last two seasons) just before tip-off of the first close-out game with the Suns but Ernie Johnson talked about it briefly at halftime of the Heat-Bulls game and ESPN and others are reporting that starting center Kwame Brown is under investigation of sexual assault by the LAPD.

Now, this is just an investigation. No warrants have been issued. No arrests have been made. That doesn't mean that this shouldn't give us all pause, though. With recent events at USC and the past troubles of employee #24 #8, we're a little wary of ballers out of control.
