Another in our installment of strange signs around Los Angeles, we now turn to the intersection of Olympic and Fairfax. This one has always caused us to drive a bit slower as we pass by, trying to figure it out, and possibly causing a traffic hazard in the process. What the heck does it mean? Is it...You Are My King Liquor? Or Liquor, You Are My King? And the way that R is being either raised or lowered into place by some invisible crane, it just never ceases to amaze us.
No doubt about it, whoever designed this sign was either drunk, deranged, or both. Or maybe the King of Liquorland.

That's not at Olympic and Sawtelle.
Olympic at San Vicente
I've always wondered if that sign/liquor store name had religious connotations.
THANK YOU for highlighting one of the best signs in all of L.A.
Oops, I meant Olympic and Fairfax. Corrected.
